oh i'm quite confused ... the latest 3d about this bass said it was a custom shop. Further reading the auction reveals it's an original vintage 66. Wow !! Good investment but who can tell if this guy is all original ?

Investment-wise the train may have left the station already. At 10k already, not sure how much more upside is there...

It's both, actually.

It's an original custom order from '66.

Matching headstock and custom color... blocks, binding... the works.

And, yes... it appears to be all original and in immaculate condition for its age.

If this bass plays as good as it looks, I'd rather have it than pretty much any other bass out there, to be honest.

Goddamn, I wish I had some disposable income right now.

It looks legit, but I still wonder who come the area that was under the ashtray is darker than the rest of the bass. . . it should be whiter than the rest of the bass.

BTW, look at what I found. . . another lefty 1966. . .
