US Master bass with P pickup

I always thought these looked interesting, this one has a P pickup which I think is unusual:

These are very under rated basses, I have a 5 string version of this bass (EP-5) I picked it up and really like the bass, if you looking for a good US made bass that has a very good sound, plays very nice at a good price this would be the bass. Funny thought with all my basses I have it listed at the very bottom of my web page in the "Other Basses category" however I play it more than some other name brand basses

These basses look to have great quality and are quite cheap for what the are. What I dislike is the smallish body and short upper horn. . . can't imagine these being to comfortable to play for me.

Bob, I didn't know you had such a collection! A '64 P-Bass! :shock:
