Seems pretty expensive to me:

The price is laughable and insulting. And the headstock decal looks wonky. Here is my '78:

He's deluded, and obviously trying to cash in on the name... which isn't installed properly either! We've all seen a fair number of late 70's basses in much better condition going for half this amount... dream on "daveamusician"!

Looks like the headstock finish was sanded down and a new decal applied... a very bad one at that. If I could sell mine for that price MINT, that would be pretty sweet.

Good eye, Matt. Fender's done some wacky lefty logo treatments over the years, but that logo is clearly fraudulent. Look at how the serial number font is thick and blurry and the "Precision Bass" lettering's crooked with some types bigger than others). Maybe that's why he's posted that Hail Mary price?

Yeah it looks like "precision bass" was drunkenly applied one letter at a time

This bass was on e-bay once before I think. I remember in that listing, the seller mentioned that a new decal had been installed on it. However, the body was pretty trashed if I remember correctly. Either way, that thing aint worth what he's asking. Also doubt if it's a 100% authentic fender.

I e-mailed the seller in re to it. in particular, the headstock decal. He claims it's the original decal.

One thing I know for owning 2 70's Fender ( a j and a P) there is nothing standard there LOL

But yes too pricey, way way too much.

BTW There's some funny shit right there with the headstocks. You are sick

I'm resisting the urge to congratulate the seller for spelling "PRECISION" correctly.
