They must have finally painted Chris Chew's old hideous orange bass because it wouldn't sell.

Oh, yeah. . . I remember I inquired about it a while ago when it was orange and he mentioned that they would paint it, or take the sports team logo off the back at no charge (can't remember what college team it was).

I bet that thing sounds and plays really nice. Those are really high quality basses made in the Benavente shop (if I'm not mistaking) and at $2200 is quite a bargain.

Your not alone. I liked the orange and it looked nice in person.

I inquired on this bass also when it was orange and played it at the Philly Guitar show in Nov 2010. It was a cool bass but for the price range, there is a lot to choose from. I always think about resale value when I purchase these days too.
