Why would you spend a substantial amount of money through the Custom shop on a bass you've probably been jones-ing for for years, wait the three-to-six months or longer to finally receive it, then play it once-or-twice, THEN just stick it under your bed for eleven years? Makes no sense, unless it was an investment ploy.... but selling it in a soft market doesn't sound like wise timing to me....

Could be the seller was in a successful band at one point and had a few nice basses made for them that they didn't take to. Or rich and bored...

The least the seller could have done was wipe the dust from the bass prior to taking pics. It doesn't make it worth more with aged dust :mrgreen:
