P bass parts bass on the bay

It's actually a really good bass. I had it built by a luthier here in Nashville. I needed a P bass with a Rosewood board and was having a tough time finding a real Fender with one. I'm moving some basses out (this one and the Sunburst Lakland JO on e-bay) to make room for others that I need for work. This one (as well as the Lakland) served it's purpose and it's time to move it to a new home.

I'm still hung up on a jazz but this looks interesting.

May I inquire who is the luthier? Did he tweak/fine tune everything or mostly paint and assemble? What is your impression of the Musikraft neck vs. a Fender factory neck? Especially the rosewood (grain/color) and frets? Were they re-dressed by the luthier?

The set up work (fret dressing, strobing...etc) and assembly were done by Ed Beaver here in Nashville. I personally love Musikraft necks. This one has a C profile which I picked out. It's a pretty fast neck and I find it comprable to Fender factory necks more so than other aftermarket necks that I've tried. The grain of the rosewood is pretty tight and more of a darker color than other boards that I've seen. It reminds me of Amazon Rosewood.

He's the best. I've taken all of my basses to him for set ups and repairs over the past almost 10 years.
