that is nice. I take it that red is not a common lefty color?

This PISSES me off... :x

Ruby is the color I had wanted originally, and when I first contacted Dave's I was told that they weren't making any lefties in that color. I was told the only colors available for lefty were mapleglo, fireglo, and jetglo. The same colors they had in stock.

The more I think about it, the more fired up I get. UGH.

Anyway... I should be thankful that I have a Ric from Wildwood that is, for all intents and purposes, flawless and just pretend this bass never existed...

HOWEVER, if someone was planning to pull the trigger on a mapleglo and would be willing to buy this bass and trade me for mine (it's 3 weeks old, mint and perfect in every way), I'll give you $150 for your trouble.

Thought I'd try.

AFAIK, Ruby was most certainly NOT one of the finish options originally mentioned by Ric when production ramped up.

Alright, fess up..which one of you bought it?

I emailed them just to see what they were asking and they said it is sold and that not many were made. I had asked if the Ruby Red color was Rick's "Color of the Year" for 2013 but they didn't say anything about that in their response.

I was told it was a one off and rare finish for a lefty. It's probably a sample run. Ruby and Midnight blue are my fav colors in the RIC's. Beautiful bass.
