The SGs and T birds are already in stock across the web...considering one of the T birds in the $800 range. Not bad. But I hadn't heard about LP bass. I MUST HAVE.

Where did you see them?

Just did a quick Web search and I could find lefty FIREBIRDS stocked, but not T-birds or SG basses.

My bad guys, sorry to get your hopes up. The firebirds are all out there, not seeing the t birds yet. I've already set aside money toward an LP and a T bird! We won't get this chance again for some time...

I've not been able to find anything on Gibson's site about this... Other than the models mentioned, are they going to be making any SG's? If so, any ideas on possible pricing?

Better be, I put a deposit on an SG Bass last week, Jimmy said I'd get the first one.

Unless there's an overwhelming demand (and sales) for these lefties, then yes they're not likely to continue producing these after 2013. This has been their pattern recently - do a limited run of lefties per model until they run out or sell out at lower overstock prices.

I just put a deposit down on a gibson thunderbird today!!!! Yes, I called southpaw and they are infact making them! Available in black and tobacco burst. Im going with tobacco. $300 down....total....$1,445 w hardshell!!! un fn believable! So long tokai and dillion (no offense) but i do have my gaskell on the way!! Id suggest you get a deposit down before gibson decides to only make 50 of em. Cant miss this opportunuty. Guess the emails I sent gibson worked!

well southpaw dont seem to be returning my emails....makes me a bit skeptical about buying.......

edit, they responded back to me by personal email, looks like they dont really contact through facebook

Jimmy is technology adverse. The best way to get any business done with them is over the phone.

I was concerned about the lack of into on any of this, even with gibson. I called them today, they confirmed that it is all true.

I sent them a note thru their "Contact" page on FB, Jimmy phoned me in less than 5 minutes.

I wonder if the only option for the SG will be the faded one... Or maybe the glossy standard SG too?
