i guess it has to do with the recent announcement that ric is going to resume lefty production in the next weeks (source : ric fb page), maybe people is trying to make money until they can.

Anyway i'll wait the pricing for new left handed basses to confirm this. If pricing of the new should be in the high-end, there's still chance to see astronomical prices on used ricks.

I guess the $2100-$2400 is the range for older Ric's, I have two Ric's one I have had for 32 years, the other is an 80 Ric I got very similar to this for $2200 just last year. I was not aware they are starting to make new Lefty Ric's good move I'm sure many of the topics on this page helped in that decision.

MF quotes $1950 for a righty MG. I would assume that if Ric keeps their previous lefty upcharge rate intact that they will come in somewhere around $2199.

Now wouldn't it be great if they forego the upcharge?

A 2008 fireglo 4003 sold on eBay uk last night for £1500. The same seller has a 1975 fireglo 4003 up for £2000
