hey all, this bass is in Toronto I've played it and it sounds so good, fairly light 9lbs-ish,

yes, very nice! you don't see many lefty Nash basses. There are quite a few lefty guitars out there tho.

25 basses is a fantastic number. What do you do with all the cases? cause that's a lot of cases!

I actually worked on case storage yesterday. I bought these industrial grade steel shelves from Lowes that are 8 feet high. I stand the cases on their ends and I have two rows... I'll take a picture and post it, it's hard to explain but it works great!

Very Nice, so that's what you do with that many cases! The bass looks really good on the wall, and that tele bass is sweet! I look forward to hearing about the bass once you get into it!

I played the PB-57 for three sets at the local blues jam, I was lucky and had excellent drummers. The house amp was a GK RB800 and I set everything flat. The Nash sounded great, fat thick and punchy. The bass has a pretty hot output for a passive and it feels like an old pair of gloves, broken in and ready for long hours. It is pretty light with the slightest hint of neck dive. The tone pot has a nice taper, not the usual 90% of nothing. I don't plan to put a Tone Styler in this bass at this time, most of my passive basses have one. The overall fit is very tight and the finish is, well, medium relic. I promptly banged the headstock on an overhead TV bracket while pulling it out of the case at the bar, I can't tell if I hurt it or not.

My oldest P-Bass is a 1975, all original, and though it's a little lighter than the Nash, the Nash feels and sounds better. Factoring in the vintage value of the Fender, I see no need to take it to a drunken blues jam. I can highly recommend Lollar pickups for a P bass. This Nash is a keeper.

Beautiful bass. I've always dug the look of the gold anodized guard against the two tone sunburst. Classic!

Is the neck profile the same fat C neck size as a Fender '57? I know some players are turned off by that, but surprisingly I've gravitated to larger necks from a standard J over the years and arguably find them easier to play. (Easier to keep your thumb anchored without climbing over the top of the neck).

WD products (www.pickguards.com) will make a lefty.

I saw a gold P-Bass guard, right handed of course, but it appeared to have the same finish on both sides. I wonder if it would work on a lefty just by putting it on upside down? One could countersink the screw holes a little, if they line up.
