 Post subject: Lefty P-Bass - Confused?

Well, judging by the headstock picture, it really seems to be a lefty (flipped picture make the bass look like a righty) -

Fender would have called me before making this silly S1 switch, I would have told them that it was a stupid idea. in 1990, I installed a push/pull pot on my Jazz bass to allow the pickups to work in serie but the tone was way too muddy. I eventually got rid of it. I bet many people tried this mod before me. Fender presented this like if they had a revolutionary idea. On a P-bass, it made the tone too bristling and it wasn't a much better idea.
I am glad that they got rid of it and substantially improved their new models after 2008. You should not try re-invent something perfectly designed.
