If anyone is looking for a Michael Kelly Dragonfly fretted Bass, I just put a reallly nice one up on Ebay for a friend of mine, I borrowed it for a session when she was in town several months ago and it's been sitting at at my house ever since. She lives out on the coast and asked if I'd take some pics and that led to her asking if i'd put it up on Ebay for her since she's kinda "moved on" from bass playing. Anyway check it out:

Saw this last night on eBay, and put it in my "Watch" list. Had one of these until it got stolen from my van about this time last year. They are beautiful basses, and after adjusting the neck and playing with the EQ, I was enjoying playing this in my Blues band until the loss. The only thing I noticed about the bass was the neck wasn't as stiff as I would have liked. I was toying with putting a set of flats on it, but wasn't sure how the neck would handle the extra tension.

Other than that, I enjoyed playing it, and it got a lot of compliments on the quilted maple used. What was really great about the wood was women coming up and commenting on what a beautiful bass it was. I think that's why I miss the bass more than anything else!

Yes, it's a very nice player, action is low, neck seems fine, does take a little experimenting to dial in the EQ but once I found the sweet spot it was all good- (and yes, I noticed too women do really dig that that quilt ....hummmm, maybe I should buy it myself- I need all the help can get!) 8-)... she had me set her reserve at only $300, which seems like a total steal to me...

Probably a good thing. That's a great way to ruin a friendship and end up with a tuning peg up your butt! ;)

I sold one of these a year or so go (had it for a couple of years previous to that). I thought it played really well after some setup and the only real crucial thing I felt it needed was a soundhole cover so it wasn't so "boomy" when amplified. Some day's I have sellers remorse.
