I think they're pretty cool, I was very seriously considering this before I got my Italia.
This one has some crucial parts missing though, but a tailpiece and some electronics are easily obtained and installed :)

Yep sure is. I was keeping a close watch on that but once it went over 150 I decided to pass.

I picked that up. we'll see what it looks like when I get it. I'll take pics and show progress. I intend to do all the wiring myself. should be a fun little project

Hey Mal... did you ever do a follow-up on this bass? I've been googling them for an hour, and am considering picking one up. Any comments so far?

Its still pretty much in the state it is in the pics. I have all the parts but 1. I decided to put a six position varitone switch in which is remarkably hard to come by in Canada. I have one on the way but the guy who's bringing it hasn't brought it.

I'm using this as a guide for the switch - http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=596256

When I finally get it, I'm planning on taking a bunch of photos maybe some sound clips. I really want to play this bass!!
