Been looking at this for a while and a realize that most times I don't know what I'm talking about but I'm never serious either. I just can't imagine why this is so damn expensive. Are these even made in the USA?? I don't think they are but like I said what I know. I would rather have a new G&l than any fender ever made and I'm guessing most here would think I lick windows on the bus for that comment but it's just me. I know the real deal ones are killer and I believe worth the money I just don't get this one. The G string looks like it's so far inside the neck I could rest a pack of smokes between the string and the edge of the fretboard. The gold knobs make my stomach upset and I don't think I want a butterfly on my bass or fairies or magic mushrooms. ;)

I agree. Other Fodera models you can clearly see the boutique quality and build, but these look like glorified MTD Kingstons to me.

These are made in Japan and setup in Brooklyn, for what I know.

Never played one, but what I read on Talkbass is that they are very good and high-quality modern Jazz basses. I would they are in the same league as Sadowsky, Alleva and Lakland. Personally, I don't like the string spacing, and these seem to be all close to 10 lbs, so I wouldn't play one if given to me for free.

These seem to go for much lower right-handed, and at $3700, is definitely overpriced. $2800 is more like it.

Herr they have a new one. No idea on the price.

 I hope someone's VERY happy with it. I can't begin to say how unimpressed I was with the looks of that bass, right down to the cheesy "NYC" font usage on the headstock. To each his own, I guess.

Fodera Emperor. Now THAT'S what a $3700 bass should look like!
