I think there is people on eBay that wind up selling items for other people friends and so forth. Many times they think they are some kind of big time wheelers and dealers usually with about 150 - 200 transactions of used junk mostly priced under $100. They assume because it's a lefty it's rare and think it's an opportunity to try and rake us over. There is another genius trying to do the same thing with a 10 year or more old Carvin they have a high transaction number but I bet it’s the first lefty bass they ever saw. The first time it was like $1,200 now its $900 and IMO it's still too high, Jerks! :?

I have a theory about ebay. I think many times, a wife tells a guy that he MUST SELL one (or more) of his basses. He puts a $300 bass on ebay for $600 or more, and, obviously, gets no bids. So he takes it off ebay, shows his wife that he did list it and that no one bid on it, and keeps the bass. But, hey, he TRIED didn't he?

Of course, it's just a theory. ;)

Hm, didn't think of that. If I was that henpecked I think I'd put the wife up for auction.

With a very low reserve. :x

I tried that with the last one. The buyer returned her and demanded a 10% premium on his refund for all the aggrevation she caused.

Hey, I'm going to have to try that! Expect to see my '72 J listed for $20,000 over the next few days. ;)
