I've seen this one before. Too bad there are so many wrong things with it, but very cool, nevertheless.

3.5K is a lot to be asking for in this economy, or a better one for that matter.

Yep, same seller I believe. He was in Berkeley and said he was moving. I could be wrong, tho.

I've played it. At the time, he was asking $1900, which was high for a non-original, imo. He never told me about the cavity routing. Maybe he didn't know.

Bass is pretty light. The tone didn't do much for me, but I wasn't playing it thru my amp, and not under ideal circumstances. I had just acquired my '76 Jazz at the time, and this bass wasn't as good, imo.

The longer it goes unsold, the more he asks for it. :D

Sounds like he's learning his marketing skills from GroovyGuitars. LOL

Looks like he's added an extra $1000 for the newly-disclosed routing hole. :D

That's the Jazz I used to own a couple years back. Pickups aren't original. Seymour Antiquity.

Shoot, maybe I should post my restored 78 Fender P bass and ask $3,000 Best Offer. Maybe the economy is coming back and all of a sudden people have money to burn....

I think folks are definately feeling better now that we're not heamorraging (sp) jobs like we were a few months ago and the stock market is doing it's best to recover from being guillottined. I sure sense the difference in my workplace.

It also looks to me like the firesales we saw earlier in the year on eBay and other boards/sites is done and buried. Folks just appear to be content to sit and wait to sell their gear until the market is willing to pay a more reasonable price. There's just too many bottom feeders out there trying to lowball sellers.

That's not to say the occasional bargain doesn't show up, it just that I'm seeing less of them. Which is a damn good thing because I've bought more gear in the last year than I have in the previous 10 (no joke).

And having said all this, that Jazz bass is still way too damned expensive!

That's either crazy or a scam buyer. I have a tough time buying a bass in that rough of shape would go for over$3000, and if it is legit then someone definitely did not get a good deal on that bass. :?

Or.. he worked with the buyer and shipped to Italy or Belgium. There were questions from both. The pickups are non original and its beat up? I would never spend that kind of money after reading his description in the first place. No offense to teh seller but "The control cavitiy was extended about 1in I am not sure what for." A battery dude!!!!! Routed.......... :o :o

Scammer would be my guess. I've had that happen before, and is one of the reasons why I don't use the bay any more - too many 12 year old comedians who love to annoy people.

It was relisted (3-day listing) and sold for $2,075. Anyone here get it?

Wow, that was fast. I guess $3350 was too good to be true after all.
