My biggest musical Pet Peeve when out of the million right handed basses out there a Righty has to drill a hole in a left handed bass.

Agreed. Numbskulls. :x And the only reason they do it is because they think it looks cool playing an upside down bass. It doesn't, unless you're Hendrix.

Great, Paulo! I got satisfaction just by imaging what you did to the righty bass, as this indeed one of my frustrations.

The other being us lefty having the Ford T syndrome: you can choose any color as long as it is black (though in all fairness this has changed a bit in the past years. But for my generation "18 in the 80s" this was certainly the case)...

Back in the 80s I didn't mind that part at all. Black, especially Precisions like this one, was the color that I associated with the British New Wave bassists I wanted to emulate.

I agree with that. (Or white, like Dee Dee Ramone's and Sid Vicious's P basses).
