It is a pretty cool looking bass. If the neck ain't twisted, a grand is not so outrageous but I would not pay anything over that.
Those days, peoples willing to shell out that kind of the money for such a simple bass might be hard to come by though. Personnally, I did not know that Fender was making those in Lefty during the 70's.

I recently acquired a 78 Musicmaster for almost nothing, relatively speaking. It was nice because I recently had to part with the Stingray I bought from Rick on here to pay for some home AC repairs :x . I have been wanting one of these for a long time. Even with an electronics overhaul, I will still only have a fraction of that bass' cost in it. Great lil bass 8-)
