I don't get it: how can this be both a Custom Shop AND a Diamond Series? I thought the latter were all made in Korea or other Asian countries.

I don't know. I had copied the title from the eBay listing. I just deleted "custom shop" from the title. I don't see any indication that it's a USA bass. A USA Schecter is thousands of dollars, and I've only ever seen one lefty. I doubt someone would be willing to let one go this cheap.

Just did a little searching around. Looks like these models are in the Diamond Series but the specific model is called “California Custom” (ie: Omen, Ultra, etc..) , assuming since they couldn’t use JAZZ BASS specifically. Guessing it’s just a little confusion on the sellers part.

California Custom is the USA made Schecter.
Schecter doesn't mass produce USA made guitars like Fender so every USA made Schecter is a custom shop.
The Diamond Series is indeed the Asian made series which is also great.
So the seller could be misunderstanding.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's it! :)

So this is a never-seen-before Schecter Left-handed USA-made custom shop?

What bass is this? Jazz? Precision? MM? Something else?

Why does it say Los Angeles instead of Sun Valley?

Ha, that explains a lot! :)
It does look nice, with quality hardware (Hipshot style A bridge) and electronics (EMG PJ pickups in soapbar casings, and EMG pre).

I googled the model and came across this gem

This picture made me facepalm:

Putting your strings on like that is one thing, but using regular scale strings on a 35" scale bass strung through-body and completely ignoring the taper of the B and E string is something else
Price was mighty fine though.
