I just thought this deserved some attention. I’m going to watch it just because I have to know how much it ends up selling for. Haha
Where’s the betting pool forum? I’m saying $150

This is more like a series 7, at best. ;)

Looks like this bass could tell a story though...

I would have said "Wanna Buy a Bass no Strings Attached but hey there's one string.

If playing the bass could not get any easier one E string would be it.

To be fair, it is quite likely the best tuner on the bass :D

Possibly the only good part on it.

Just noticed it is an item that was donated to the Goodwill in Seattle... someone's grunge fantasies are long gone... :)

Ended up going for about $140 with shipping! This thing certainly had some kind of charm, but maybe not over $25 worth, but what the hell, I guess it is technically for charity... haha
Hope everyone’s saying goodbye to this dumpster fire of a year in good health. Take care lefty brothers and sisters!

Sorry for bringing this thread back to life!
I was the one who bought this bass....... The charm,
In 1989 I was 25 and just landed a Great paying gig. As a reward
to myself, I bought a brand new bass from a local shop. It was this
exact model...... minus the shit-house wall paper of coarse. I sold it
to help with cash for buying a house.
I have been in the market for another, but wanted to keep it
under $200.
I thought that I would have the body repainted, so the condition
really didn't bother me. The Sharpie drawing on the headstock worried
me however!
Well after an hour with a heat gun and some MEK on the marker, this
was what was under the crap.
Jeroen, I am sorry to say that all the tuners were trash!
I've installed a set of Schaller EB4 tuners that I have had forever. I am
also replacing the pickups. I am still under $200 for this project!

This is the coolest thing I've seen so far in 2021. You've really done a great job on that, that, "THING". ha ha. Seriously, it's looking great.

Nice to see it's getting a second life! It looks surprisingly good underneath all the thrash! :)
