Doesn't it seem like all the well known guitar companies experiment with an electric bass product, only to regret it later? (Martin immediately comes to mind). Anyway, Larrivee makes great acoustics, but I don't think I've ever seen a bass, let alone a lefty. Super rare, but in rough shape:

Oh man, this brings back memories! I had two different Larrivees back in the day. Here in Canada they were even more popular around the mid to late '80's. You could custom order them from Long & McQuades (Canadian - and much better run - version of Guitar Center.) I custom ordered one in '89 when I was just 18. It was about $1500 but LOADED. Five string, neck through, all maple, EMG P/J config, Schaller hardware, carved top (way fancier than the one listed here) and big bird yellow. It's the one bass I got rid of that really gave me seller's remorse. Wish I still had it.

I also had one almost exactly like this LB-2 but in red and fretless. They were awesome!

Cool info. I had no idea they even made lefty electric basses. Sounds like it was quality stuff. I own one of their dreadnoughts. and it's great. Easiest acoustic guitar to play, the action's superb.

Found a pic of a white lefty that sold a while ago:
