I agree on the P-Bass. I cannot view the Jazz.

The head shape looks weird to me. Also the beauty mark on the back of the head is missing or wrong.

The decal is definitely not original and wrongly placed compared to my 3 vintages P. May be a refinish also.

And it is a bit underpriced for a lefty all-original 71 IMHO.

Disclaimer: I am not trying to sell my 69 because it is a keeper since I have put the original p-u in
I agree with the possible refinish on the '71 P That sunburst looks off to me. The gradation is strange, looks like those horrible Carvin 'burst jobs.

Price Drop. $2699. Last one of the 3 left.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/331288382990?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

The story is the wife of the deceased owner came into the shop and sold them.

I bought the 71/ 73 P bass. Great vintage P bass tone. Plays great! To my eye, except for the soldering everything looks untouched.Looks like it was barely played.
If it was redone it's a hell of a good job that I'm happy with. It's got a great vintage closet classic feel and look either way. I figured a vintage Fender P at a price better than what a custom shop reissue would likely cost, what the hell.

Thanks! I'm enjoying it! It's light and is a great player.
