From the seller:
I've owned this bass for about 10 years and have taken exceptionally good care. Always lived in case. Non-smoking environment. Only gigged with it a handful of times. Plays great. Sounds great. New mute pad installed. Original pickups. RWRP mod done to bridge pickup which cancels the single cool noise when both pickups are engaged much like a jazz bass. Original bridge pickup cover included.

I'm open to considering trades or partial trades for other lefty guitars or basses.

Vintage, Fender, jazz, p bass, Gibson, Hofner, Music Man

I have a 1980 Ric and I would guess the weight is about 9lbs however the body is thinner than a traditional Fender so the neck seems a little heavier. It's hard to describe but I always found my Ric to be very comfortable but different. They are Love Em or Hate Em kinda basses. I love mine and it was my only bass for 18 years, I still have it and again it's comfortable but you should try one out first if you have the opportunity. Same with the sound, you wont get a Fender sound from a Ric however you really wont get a Ric sound from many other basses. They are unique sounding and that shows by the artist that play them.
