Yup, they are out now. Sweetwater got a batch as well of the 2017 P and J basses. I like the white P but not at that $1450 price range.

Sweetwater also has a cool Sonic Gray Jazz Bass. kinda exciting. No maple neck in sight so far.

I'm starting to see them available at a few retailers now. $1499 is the going rate, though if you buy it through a retailer on Ebates like eBay you can knock 5% off that ($1425). Still not exactly a bargain. The good news is the previous Am Std basses will probably drop in price. There's a couple left on Amazon for $1149, and of course the used market can probably fetch one for under $1000. I grabbed a NOS Am Std P last year and it has become one of my main gigging basses. They're excellent instruments, IMO.
