Anyone have a Warwick Star Bass?

Post by donahue »

I've recently got some gas for a Warwick Star Bass. I've see the ones on eBay etc, but was wondering if anyone has one they may want to trade or sell? Rockbass or German. Thanks

Also even if you don't want to get rid of yours, perhaps chime in on how you like it. Pros cons etc.

I was just going to bid on the 5 string listed on eBay, but just missed it. Open to any and all leads. I think these are hard to come by, especially since the US can no longer order from Thomann.

Bummer about Thomann not shipping to the US. I bought a Sire bass from them when those first came out, and had no issues with shipping.

There are a couple of Star Basses on Arni's, but I rarely see them in the US (although I think there are one or two fretless German ones floating around in the $3k range).

I'm intrigued by these basses as well and would love to get a hold of one someday.

Thank you!!

The Thomann thing is just Warwick I think. There must be some non-compete thing, which is ironic because there are no places in the US to buy one except 3K at Adirondack. I'd really like to try the rockbass version before dropping 3k on a German model.

Well if you consider dropping the 3k on the real deal and don't like it remember you could always return it! :)

You can buy them off Warwick.de

About $1100

Color: black or white, no burst, which is a major bummer. I'm thinking I'll save up for one unless I find one in the states for less.
