Looking to get into something as a backup or shared duty bass, must be 5 string fretted, somewhere in the $800 range give or take.

Prefer Jazz style - recently I've seen a MIJ Jazz 5er and a Carvin SB5000 each go for around $700 on here recently, (too bad I didn't have the $$ then :( ) Either of those would have been exactly what the doctor ordered.

Open to other ideas also, just really need to keep it under $1000.. dust off those un-played 5ers and hit me up!

Unfortunately I have an irrational adversity to neck thru basses. The Schecter looks nice otherwise though. Are you selling one?

Not sure don't know much about Schecter. Definitely don't want a neck thru but would keep it under consideration

Schecter basses are IMHO great value for the money, well built, good electronics and very versatile, but if neckthrough is a deal breaker for you then you have to look elsewhere.

Matt I may possibly be interested. Would definitely like to see pics, either here or if you prefer you can email me arrondicesare@gmail.com

Is it 34" scale? Also what's the weight like and the neck width? Any comparison on tone (can it get jazz-like etc)? How's the B-string?

thx :)
