Looking for a really light weight amp. I have an Ampeg BA112 (39lbs) now and could use something even lighter (my wife says they should invent an "AARP-Amp" line!! LOL)
We play acoustic folk, rock and country....nothing too loud. I have never miked my amp thru the PA light the guitar players do now, thought with a smaller amp I could do that....
Suggestions anyone?
Thanks!
Happy Father's Day!

Bill

check out the new Genz Benz shuttle line...the stuff is amazing...
I bought the smallest one - an 8" speaker/piezo and a head (175/300)
i use it with everything from upright to my six string (even used it in a 10 piece dance band with front of house support)
the thing is really great and weighs......get this.......13 lbs
you will not be let down

Hi DaBassmann,

i can recommend the Mark Bass CMD102. A two times 10" combo with enough power to work without pa. The weight is only ca 25kg.

The sound of this amp is incredible. Nicly warm with direct mid freq. The high freq. are crisp but not agressive.

You also can get this amp with one times 12" speaker.

I play myself a Mark Bass full stack and I am very comfortable with their stuff.

Best regards
Andreas
