I always like the look of the black Japanese Fender Aerodynes and looking at a reverb listing of a lefty one I saw a related one of a right-handed in Vintage White that looks just dead gorgeous.

I started looking for Fender catalogs and it seems that they actually might have made left-handed models since the catalog lists VWH as an available color.

I have come short of finding anything through Reverb / Ebay. Does anyone have any clues or ideas on how to look into the Japanese market?

The Aerodynes were offered in several colors, most of which are stunning.

Yes both the red and the black ones are also gorgeous but that vintage white is calling my name. I am scouring the Japanese websites and emailing them
in the hopes that one pops up for sale.

Fender Japan has definitely produced lefty Aerodynes over the years. I personally saw a couple in Japan around 2011.

If you cannot find one it may be worth to get one and have it refinished in white. Pat Sims would make it look like it came white from factory.

Currently, I do not see any lefty Aerodynes available. Never thought of the refinishing option. Would be kinda expensive though I assume and if you add the cost of shipping back and forth would make it cost-prohibitive I would think.

Hi NikosP,

I owned a 2007 Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass Japan white, but sold it.
The vintage white were only made for the Japanese market.
I will keep my eyes open for you or perhaps can find the person, I sold it to

Thanks will keep an eye on it because I think the price is a bit high.
I also need to sell 2 other ones before I can justify the purchase.
