Freak/Junkie? Uhh...maybe, maybe not, but I DO use them. Mostly chorus, delay, flanger type things, some overdrives.

I have a Mutron III, Big Muff Pi, Boss OD, Boss Flanger, Digitech Delay, Digitech Chorus and a Morley Bass Wah. And the requisite Boss tuner.

Me.
I have over 20 and always have my eye on a few more.

Me too. My personal motto is to try never to play an original song without some kind of effect on it. One of my favorite things to do with a new song is to figure out what combination of pedals work in each section. A drummer in an old band once called me "the tap dancing bassist" because I was always stepping on pedals during songs.

I'm a pedal junkie. I'll have to take a picture of the current setup. I build my own effects as well.

I have a bit of background in electrical engineering and got curious about fuzz pedals. Being a bass player, I noticed that many of the classic circuits filtered out a lot of the low frequencies so I started building up classic circuits (Fuzz Face, Brassmaster, Tonebender, Big Muff, etc.) and modifying them for bass. I've tried some other dirt and/or boost circuits as well. Nothing really complicated. I'm currently working on tube overdrive circuit that uses a sub-miniature tube and runs on 9V. I'm going to try a couple other designs using them in the future (push-pull comes to mind instead of cascading). I don't have much knowledge of tubes (they never taught us that in school) so I'm slowly reading up.

I'd be very interested to hear the Brassmaster clone you built.

Yes, me too. I have lust for a Malekko B:assmaster. I'm thinking of picking up an MXR El Grande for a mini-board idea I'm kicking around.

Of course there are so many I want to try, Wounded Paw, ElectroniX, Caitlinbread, HBE....<sigh>
I have a NYC Big Muff that I'm thinking of reboxing but I don't use it with bass anymore since I got the Little Big Muff. The LBM keeps the lowend well enough that I didn't bother getting a Bass Muff when they came out. I might pick one up if I find a really good price on a used one. I have an Ibanez TS9DX which has a usuable bass setting on it but it is pretty tame. I have the Danelectro Fabtone and Daddy-O and like them alot. I tried my guitarists Fulltone OCD and it's a good overdrive for bass with the low-pass switch on.

I luvs me some dirt!

I did a few mods to the Brassmaster to add in a bit more lows but it's pretty much similar to the original. The problem I have with the circuit is that there is too much gain for my liking. Eventually I'm going to add an output volume pot so I can use the more extreme settings while keeping the volume around unity gain.

I'm definitely an "effects guy," but at the moment my board is pretty sparse:

pitchblack->105Q->BBM->Digidelay

I've got some other things lying around, and was getting into "noise" (merzbow, emeralds, etc) for awhile, but currently I try to just stick with what I "need" for my current project.

As my band continues to move more and more into "psychedelic" realms I'm feeling some more stompboxes are destined for my board again. Right now I'm thinking the Ohnoho Utter Stutter is likely to be my next addition.

Are you referring to the Budda pedal?

I almost never used effects of any kind up until about five years ago...

Now I have a pedal board with the following:

Boss Tuner Pedal
Russian Big Muff
Dunlop Bass Wah
DOD Envelope Filter
Boss Octave
Boss Bass Synth

I also have about 4 or 5 others not in the board... and about 15 others I want to buy.
