Re: Sire Pausing Production of Lefties.
I bought a Sire U5 just a couple of months ago. Right now, I am good, but I like to have options when I do get G.A.S. again. (In fact, I sold a Sire to purchase this one.)

Re: Kramer Ferrington Acoustic Bass Lefty Left Handed
Not mine. But, Danny Ferrington lives just 25 miles away. I took him a fretless MTD Z5 and he "fretted" it for me. He was hand-making an acoustic guitar for a local musician at the time. Interesting guy.

Re: 1978 Fender Mustang Bass Left Handed
Recently I had my mom&pop music store contact Fender about making a lefty Mustang-type bass - didn't care if P or P/J. Of course, the Custom Shop was interested but no one else was interested.
I purchased the Sire U5 instead.

Re: 1974 Fender Precision Bass
I am in Bob's camp. I have purchased a few used basses with case odor, and I found leaving it in direct sunlight for several hours (even a few days) and lightly spraying a Lysol-type product directly into the case always works within a couple of days.

Re: Social media bassists
I can relate to that feeling. I have fooled around with guitar since age 14, but when I see Tommy Emmanuel or Richard Smith I want to do one of two things - go home and practice or just destroy my guitar. lol

If you're still ni the market for a short scale P, Sire makes them (U5).

Re: Lefty Mustang Bass 1975 mint in the UK
I actually ordered a lefty Fender Mustang while I was in the 9th grade, back around 1967. At that time (I did not know), Fender was moving its production facilities to a different building and basically stopped taking orders for a while. When they did re-start, I was told that when they had orders ...

I am no expert by any stretch, but didn't they show "Made in Western Germany" back then, printed on the heel of the neck?

She found and bought a lefty Affinity Squier before I found anything used. Paid $250, but I haven't seen it yet (she lives in Colorado).
Thanks.

Lefty Fender Squier Classic Vibes or clone
My daughter has decided to pick up a guitar and learn to play. She has my old Seagull (S6??) and is learning and is practicing about an hour per day. She calls me almost every night for advice, and right now the F chord is kicking her butt. lol But, I am looking ahead toward Christmas - a really ...

Welcome. I spent a little time in Thailand, and they told me several times that someone asks about their heritage and they answer "Thai," and the person will immediately say that he always wanted to go to Taiwan. lol Welcome, again.

Re: Mono Dual
I cannot comment on the DUAL bag, but I bought the classic (M80?) a long time ago - 12 years, maybe? It houses a 36.5" scale semi-Quake (Knuckle Guitar Works) and it is the best gig bag I have even owned. I have a Roadrunner and also an MTD bag (which is really nice, too), but the Mono blows both ...

Whoa! Lefty Strat 1978 for $3700. I have a 1973 lefty Strat sitting under my bed. I could sell it and take a long cruise.
