Re: ISO anodized gold P bass pickguard
For my 58P reissue I ordered one at WD Custom. They had one lefty in stock at the time. Including non-anodized rings around the potmeter holes so these would make proper contact (as anodized aluminium is a good isolator). Highly recommended!

Re: Warmoth fretless jazz build
I love the elegant simplicity.
How do you like the wenge neck? I've enjoyed the wenge necks I've played, but didn't bond with the basses that had them.
Thanks! It's smoother than I expected. It feels quite heavy though. My Warwick Corvette had a wenge neck and this feels similar but has another ...

Warmoth fretless jazz build
Here are some pictures of my latest build. It features an alder body with flame maple top, finished in blueburst, a wenge neck with unlined ebony fretboard, a Nordstrand Big Blademan pickup in the MM sweetspot position, a Hipshot FM1 A-style bridge and Hipshot HB3 tuners. The bass sounds very punchy ...

He did a bad job replacing the tuners. The E string tuner seems not to fit on the headstock?

Re: For sale: Mayones Jabba 5
You may be right here because of the rosewood fretboard. Although the chance of being caught at customs clearance seems pretty small to me.
Anyway, the bass is sold yesterday.

Thanks everybody!
The pup is a Fender Pure Vintage 58 (see for instance http://www.bestbassgear.com/fender-58-p-bass-pickup.htm)
Great definition, great tone, however setting up the bass is a bit annoying (string-PU distance varies per string).
The raised pole pieces are vintage correct but not ...

Wow, that looks great! I checked the Fender ADE site, and surprisingly the '58 P is less expensive than I thought.
Maybe I'll give mine a PU cover too.
