Re: Lefty custom BassIV! New bass day!Praise the LorD/luthie

Hoi Jeroen,

Indeed, he adapted a right handed Tremsystem to a lefty one. He wasnt able to find a lefty one.
Me neither.
Turns out the litlle pipe where the tremelo goes in is screwed onto that bottom plate.
I always thought it was welded. So I guess it was a pretty easy conversion.
And its steady ...

Re: Lefty custom BassIV! New bass day!Praise the LorD/luthie

Thanks Guys!!!
Yes, the Elvis Costello Jazzmaster was a hint I gave the Luthier! :)
That Jazzmaster has always been my dream jazzmaster, look wise.
The only thing I liked less about the Elvis costello Jazzmaster was the not matching headstock.
Soo.....!! :)

About the distressed part. This Luthier ...

Re: Looking for a lefty bassVI / jazzmaster tremelo

Yes, a righty tremelo it will probably become/be.
To bad because they do exist. lefty ones. For instance on
those Lefty Fender Japan Jazzmasters and on the Kurt Cobain signature Jaguar.
But they only exist behind closed Fender factory doors.

Re: Looking for a lefty bassVI / jazzmaster tremelo

Didnt think about that tremelo yet, Sec-def.
Still the coolest solution/bridge would be an original one.
The luthier was talking about putting a Lefty bigsby on the Bass VI instead.
A bigsby is very nice, but not on a Bass VI/ jazzmaster shape! :)

Re: Strange Ibanez RS924 in France

wow! Very nice find Jeroen!
On my wanted list!!!

With that replaced custom fingerboard I would prefer test driving it.
To bad its a longgg drive to Lion to test it.

The neck is done by a luthier right? It's not a later Ibanez made neck?
Guess Maple would be nicer aswell/anyway.
hmmm......

Re: epiphone SG bass

I think your right about that Jeroen.
To bad because I want to sell my Mint Gibson SG Special guitar.
But there is an other lefty on the dutch Ebay (marpktplaats) selling a Gibson SG standard
for free. He dropped from 650 Euro, to 600 to 550 Euro. His Standard model is new twice
as expensive then ...
