That is just about my dream bass, but there is no way in hell I could spend that much on a bass, and especially not while I'm looking to buy a house with my girlfriend :cry:

A last follow-up: it arrived this morning, and I am smitten. It's a total powerhouse, the build is impeccable, it's lightweight and well-balanced, just a wonderful instrument.

This is the third G&L I've owned, and every one of them has been a jewel. I am a fan.

I'm still trying to get my head around the whole "I ordered it, waited 4+ years for it, played it for less than 3 hours, and it has sat untouched for months" thing. Are you injured? Is the bass that awful to play? This story isn't computing--I must be missing something!

As the original owner: this thing is light, comfortable, and sounds huge. It's a great deal at this price.

Yes, this! Maybe in the fall, if this is still available and things break right financially. But can't do it now.
